I’ve got two children. Not long after the first on turned 4, I had a second. And now the little one is 2.
Essentially, I have the equivalent of both a Bachelor’s degree (first four years) and a Master’s degree (last two years) in Parenting.
What would post-graduate work in Parenting entail? A passion for acquiring wisdom on a deep level. Concentrated study of the subject matter. Little expectation for monetary reward or even public recognition.
I pass these admission requirements handily. I declare myself a candidate for a PhD in Parenting.
There will be daily coursework and frequent tests. Attendance is mandatory. Long hours. Late nights. And did I mention the frequent tests?
But I must also mention this: Guidance and support will be provided as part of the program. I expect to have access to a panel of experts who have done their own deep research on related subjects.
It’s a big undertaking, but I think it’s worth it.
